Delete your account

You can delete your Apatheia account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us.

In the app

  1. Open Apatheia and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile.
  3. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Confirm by tapping Delete.

Your account is deleted straight away and you’ll be signed out.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@getapatheia.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Apatheia account”. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us that, and we’ll help you confirm the account is yours. We’ll delete it within 30 days and email you when it’s done.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details
  • All your journal entries
  • Your favourite quotes
  • Your reflection history and settings stored with your account

This is permanent and can’t be undone. If you want to keep your journal, use Profile → Export Entriesfirst.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Backups: deleted data may remain in encrypted database backups for up to 7 days, after which it is overwritten.
  • Purchase records: if you subscribed to Apatheia Premium, Apple keeps its own record of the purchase. We don’t control that record.
  • Your device: entries saved on your phone are removed when you delete the app.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in your device’sSettings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or you may continue to be charged.
